Job Description:
Is a professional practicing in a multi-faceted domain of specialty nursing that focuses on health care of individuals, families, groups, communities and entire populations. Provides care that occurs in primary and specialty care outpatient facilities, non-acute community out -patient settings; during tele health nursing encounters that occur in medical offices or by individual nurses in the home or business. Have authority, accountability and responsibility for nursing practice; makes decisions; and takes action consistent with the obligation to promote health and to provide optimal care recognizing that health is a universal right. Interacts with patients in concert with other health professionals, skillfully uses the nursing process to assess primary concerns, identify problems, analyze and integrate subjective and objective data, decide on a plan of action, apply the appropriate intervention and evaluate the outcome.

No educational requirement.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 3 months from date of hire.
Central: Department 14240 (Cardiac Rehab) only : Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year from date of hire
West:
Department 35280 (Infusion Ctr-Jamestown) only: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required within 3 months after hire.
Department 11300 (General Surgery) Only: Must obtain certification from an accredited program of Enterostomal Therapy/Wound Care within 12 months of hire or transfer. Note: Only one wound certification is needed in this cost center.
Department 11340 (Oral Surgery) Only; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 12 months of hire or transfer.
Department 12610 ( Pacemaker Clinic) only: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 12 months of hire or transfer.
Department 11291 (Hyperbaric) only: Complete an approved hyperbaric medicine introductory training course within 6 months of hire/transfer. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy provider card to be obtained within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter for the following cost centers:
