CACI is seeking a Software Engineer I, who will be responsible for providing software development and system engineering support for our client Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for providing software development and system engineering support to the Enterprise Scenario Development System (ESDS). Specifically, the candidate will design, code, test, and evaluate ESDS for our Navy customer. This position is located in King George, VA
Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for providing software development and system engineering support to the Enterprise Scenario Development System (ESDS). Specifically, the candidate will design, code, test, and evaluate ESDS for our Navy customer.
Candidate will gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs and review Computer Program Change Requests (CPCR), Requirements Documents, and Design Documents.
Candidate will create requirement design documents presented to stakeholders to explore designs decisions and recommendations for enhancements to ESDS.
Candidate will develop and maintain unit tests along with related software documentation.
Candidate will implement well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
Candidate will perform code reviews and collaborate with team members to implement solutions to CPCRs.
Candidate will be responsible for delivering, installing, and compiling sprint updates for verification and test to our Navy customer.
Your assignments are directed by the project's Technical Lead or Point of Contact (POC).
Under the direction of the POC, and as a member of our team,
You will be able to:
Conceptualize, design, develop, test, deliver and support Java and C software corrections and enhancements that allows users to create realistic training scenarios.
Assess and root cause reported computer program problems, develop and recommend solutions, and deliver analysis reports.
Provide support during installation and configuration of ESDS.
Provide status at internal and customer meetings.
Qualifications:
Required:
Must have ability to attain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering discipline
Working knowledge of Windows Operating System (OS), Microsoft (MS) Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Edge/Internet Explorer)
Working knowledge of Linux Operating Systems (OS) including command-line interface (CLI), shell scripting and system administration responsibilities
Java, C, and git experience
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and with team members
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues
Desired:
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of JavaFX, JUnit, and Ant
GitLab, Jira, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube and NetBeans IDE experience
Understanding of CI/CD pipeline and DevSecOps
Familiar with Agile development methodologies
Ability to use unconventional thinking to create innovative solutions
Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$58,000 - 115,900 USD
