Qualifications
Ability and knowledge to use power tools or hand tools as needed
Basic Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
Ability to climb, sit, or balance in small or tight spaces
Work at heights that require fall protection when required
Flexible hours but needs ability to work nights or weekends if needed to solve problems
Ability to operate forklift
Some maintenance experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
Ensure safety procedures are followed when working on equipment
Set up the unused production line with a priority of eliminating contamination from the process.
Learn and understand the quartz process
Cut and install diverter panels throughout production line ensuring that panels are correctly placed and set for new production run.
Change and build mixer legs
Paint and apply epoxy to necessary parts of the production line
Manage inventory of items needed to complete tasks
Work with supervisors and manager to complete projects within schedule
Change and maintain resin valves
Submit Work orders using SAP and follow up with maintenance on completion
Work alongside cleaning crew to provide process improvements and line repairs
Look for possible contamination spots on the line and find ways to eliminate the source
Replace and set-up hoppers
Learn to identify contamination found in finished slabs and identify where they come from on the mold line
Offer improvement ideas to maintenance and engineer team to improve areas of the line
Wear correct PPE for specific jobs such as face shield, harness, etc.
Work with supervisors and teams to train team members on possible contamination sources and how to eliminate or remove
Create One Point Lessons or SOP's
