Job Description:
Responsible for general maintenance in a medical specialty campus. Provides routine and preventative maintenance including inspection, general maintenance and repairs on various systems such as pressure boilers, basic HVAC systems, fire safety systems, emergency generators, and patient care equipment. May provide emergency repairs and perform additional duties as assigned. Operate and maintain steam production equipment which includes boilers, feed pumps, fuel pumps, controls, water softeners, steam traps, and valves. Operate and maintain emergency generators and water booster pumps. Ensures that all steam producing equipment at all Essentia Health locations is being operated according to applicable state laws and insurance carrier requirements.
Education Qualifications:
Minimum of a 2 year vocational school or a 2-year apprenticeship program or the equivalent plus 2 years experience in a maintenance role.

5 years experience in a maintenance role.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Current Class -Special- Boilers License or higher within 6 months.
Healthcare Construction or Infection Control Risk Assessment Certificate within 12 months of hire or transfer.
Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health's insurer.
State of Minnesota Engineer 1st Class B within 3 years.
State of Minnesota Engineer Chief B License may be required depending on the size of the facility.
