Job Description

Responsible for drafting various agreements using standard templates for the purchase of goods or services including consulting agreements, letters of agreement, non-disclosure agreements, business associate agreements and other contracts. The position is responsible for developing and implementing national and regional plans that meet new and existing customer requirements, assures member access to qualified providers for authorized services, and collaborates with key leaders to ensure adherence to budget and cost of care projections.

  • Reviews third party agreements to ensure the terms and conditions align with standard contract template terms and conditions.

  • Creates contract amendments, renegotiating the contract if required, to accommodate scope changes.

  • Requests or approves amendments to contract terms or contract extensions.

  • Works directly with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and finalize agreements.

  • Ensures that all internal documentation to authorize the agreements is completed prior to execution including obtaining business and legal approvals.

  • Tracks and distributes executed contracts to third parties and internal stakeholders.

  • Responsible for development, modification, maintenance and review of ad hoc contracts and agreements in conjunction with Corporate Legal Counsel, in addition to the Provider Authorization and Referral policy.

  • Meets financial goals (e.g., care cost trends, profitability) as defined by the business, ensuring out-of-network provider ad hoc rates are contracted within agreements.

  • Responsible for maintaining executed contracts, the contract term library, the contracting procedural manual, updating and maintaining 25 contract templates, and tracking contract milestones including renewals in proprietary database.

  • Has fundamental knowledge of the principles and concepts in commercial or governmental contracting.

Strong preference for managed care experience.Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Effective problem solving skills.

$41,505

Salary Maximum:

$62,255

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
