Job Summary
Responsible for the direction and strategic management of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) compliance program within Dominion Energy. Provides a leadership role and is responsible for internal NERC compliance program efforts associated with compliance monitoring, self-assessments, and the periodic self-reporting of possible compliance violations. Partners with Legal (compliance attorneys), corporate NERC Compliance Policy and other Dominion Energy Registered Entities to minimize legal and regulatory compliance risks. Responsible for assuring a healthy, robust compliance culture, and a perpetual state of audit readiness. Responsible for the communication of NERC or Regional compliance standards, new or modified, to the Dominion Energy organization. Develops a framework for establishing internal controls (manual and automated) to monitor current state of compliance. Develops structure and implementation strategies for Dominion Energy compliance program initiatives such as mock audits, documentation management, etc. Coordinate Dominion Energy's compliance audit preparations, schedules and logistics with those regulatory and reliability entities (i.e. FERC, NERC, REs) upon notification of an official compliance audit of DEV. Represent the company on various NERC compliance committees with industry partners (i.e. PJM, North American Generator/Transmission Forum).

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
- 8-10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in electric utility industry
- In-depth knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards, and a good working knowledge of bulk power system operating practices, generation or transmission system planning, operations and design
- Knowledge and understanding of complex regulatory and partnership policy, contracts, and practice
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills (including public speaking)
- Effective negotiation skills
- Ability to be diplomatic and persuasive
- Ability to operate effectively within all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated consensus-building and team-building skills
- Self-directed and motivated
- Demonstrated leadership skills and effective decision making.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Military service members and veterans with a rank of E-5 or higher plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above/below).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education)
Preferred Discipline: Engineering or other relevant disciplines will be considered
