Job Summary: Supervises Automotive Service Center Clerks engaged in performing a variety of sales and clerical duties. May provide administrative supervision over Automotive Workers Mobile Equipment Servicers etc. Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises Automotive Service Center Clerks engaged in selling merchandise and performing clerical duties at the Auto Service Center. May provide administrative supervision leave approval work scheduling etc. over skilled trades associates assigned to the Automotive Service Center. - Sells automotive parts and accessories. May place special orders for items not formally stocked. - Maintains files and logs on work orders merchandise transfers retail price changes overages and shortages on gas pumps etc. - Determines subordinate work assignment priorities and reviews completed work. Trains and or arranges training for employees approves leave requests and provides input for the issuance of performance ratings. Recommends disciplinary action promotions hiring etc. - Maintains time cards. Assures leave slips are properly completed and signed. Maintains related records and prepares expense payroll expense reports as required. - May take daily pump readings and computes sales. Prepares Gasoline Order Work Sheet which indicates estimated and actual gallons of gas on hand estimated sales and actual sales. Estimates number of gallons of gas to be ordered and the actual amount delivered. - May prepare Daily Accountability Work Sheet which indicates all purchases RGR s Retail Price Changes sales transfers to other departments and chargebacks. - Exercises tact good manners and courtesy when serving and assisting customers. - Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications: GENERAL EXPERIENCE 1 year responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales store work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily in the position to be filled. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE 1 year of responsible experience in automotive sales performing the kind of duties which constitute the principal work of the position to be filled. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE Study completed in a college university or junior college above the high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience. At any level specialized experience may be substituted for required general experience.
