Description: Assembles sheet metal detail and assembly parts with a variety of fasteners using approved methods and hand tools from blueprints and/or engineer dispositions. Assembles completed fabricated and/or machined parts using sealant or adhesive. Assembles parts and assemblies using tooling, fixtures and shop aids. Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with reading and understanding technical documentation such as work orders or build documents.
- Experience working with hand and power tools.
- 1 year experience or education in any of the following technical fields; Auto mechanics, Carpentry, Auto body repair, Metal fabrication, HVAC, Welding, Fabrication, Assembly, and Manufacturing.
Desired Skills:
- Experience reading and interpreting written specifications, blueprints and engineering drawings.
- FAA Airframe Certification, or a minimum of five years of structural.
- Personnel with military experience in the following career fields would possess the basic qualifications for this position: Airframe Repairer, Aircraft Structural Repairer, Aircraft structural maintenance, Aviation Structural Mechanics, Plane Captains, Crew chiefs, Propulsion, Pnuedralic Mechanics, Hydraulics Mechanics, Flight Mechanic, Wheeled vehicle mechanics, Track vehicle Mechanic, Sheet Metal Repairers, Airframe Repairers, Armored Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Humvee/GSE mechanics or other technical/mechanical career field.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
