Job Description:
- Assists the Client Service Leader (CSL) in developing and pursuing additional business opportunities with key clients.
- Serves as a pursuit champion utilizing the CDM Smith WINS process. Assists the CSL as a part of the pursuit team and marketing resources to prepare appropriate proposal and presentation materials. Participates in interview and proposal presentations to the client as well as general presentations within the industry.
- Develops and nurtures key client relationships as a primary company contact on assigned projects. Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.
- Collaborates with office leadership in solving challenges and ensuring business objectives are met.
- Responsible for financial performance on projects. Proactive management of cash, budget, schedule and project scope to ensure adherence to project goals and completion to the client's satisfaction.
- Executes priorities, obtains commitments, and engages required resources through collaboration with other PMs, the CSL, the Project Management & Commercial Leader (PMCL), Area Leaders, Technical Delivery Manager, Regional Team Leader and Discipline Leaders to staff projects according to project work plans.
- Partners with local leaders in the responsibility for determining project staffing needs including, but not limited to recruitment, hiring, career development, retention and succession of project staff.
- Obtain Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification within 1 year of hire date through CDM Smith's Global Delivery Excellence Framework (GDEF) program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 4 years of related experience.
- PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list). Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience managing transportation roadway, highway, and/or bridge design projects for INDOT.
- P.E., Professional Engineer, certification.
- Previous business development experience for transportation projects in IN.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or related engineering discipline.

Background Check and Drug Testing Information:

Additional Compensation:
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
