The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join our SAFFIRE Computer Vision team. You will work in a fast-paced environment providing quality assurance through the writing and execution of manual and automated regression tests. You will be supporting developers by testing new software as it is completed and supporting our customers directly with troubleshooting support. You will also help ensure our products are providing the reliable performance that our customers require.

We work directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to manage and fuse data from multiple sources of intelligence, allowing them to assess, monitor and alert on intelligence in direct support of vital national security missions. SAFFIRE's software platform is developed and deployed on AWS cloud environments. We are literally changing the state of the art of analysis tools. Responsibilities:

  • Write and execute automated tests focused on backend functionality

  • Develop and perform manual testing procedures for backend services

  • Document test results, bugs, and performance issues in the software

  • Collaborate with developers to create realistic and effective backend testing scenarios

  • Identify and report design inefficiencies within the backend architecture

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active Top Secret or Top-Secret SCI clearance with a polygraph is preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in software test engineering, with opportunities available for various levels of expertise

  • Experience in test engineering within a government contracting environment

  • Familiarity with different aspects of software development, including infrastructure, design, development, testing/QA, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to document existing test capabilities, performance, and requirements

  • Strong communication skills-clear, concise, collaborative, and professional, with the ability to remain composed when discussing complex issues with customers and colleagues

  • Self-driven and motivated to explore innovative ways to improve test performance and coverage

  • Security+ certification required or must be obtained within the first six (6) months of employment

  • Experience in writing and executing automated tests for backend systems

Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and working on an Agile development program

  • Experience with test automation frameworks

  • Comfortable in Linux and Windows

  • Experience with command/line scripting, such as Bash

  • Any experience in these areas: AWS (Amazon Web Services), Docker/Kubernetes, Document-Oriented Data Stores (i.e. Elasticsearch, Solr), Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and OGC WMS/WFS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and RESTful APIs, Git

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
