This position is responsible for overseeing, managing and leveraging parts of the life cycle of IT investments in infrastructure and systems-from defining and targeting the investment mix, to planning the portfolio structure and packaging, to communicating the portfolio plan and measuring results. This is a key role in the strategic planning process for the IT organization. Works with and advises these individuals and groups on how enterprise priorities link to technology investment, and the risks and benefits of specific portfolio activities. Works with the IT organization and other stakeholders to develop, prioritize the IT and business portfolio. Analyzes portfolio performance, and recommends changes in investment mix to achieve goals. Proactively identifies opportunities for improving IT portfolio performance to provide a competitive advantage to the business. Managing teams with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control rather than development; short-term operational/tactical responsibilities.

Assists Solution/Service Owners and Business Stakeholders in ranking potential projects in terms of their expected contribution to meeting organizational goals.
Manages teams to create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Influences changes and system enhancements to business processes, policies, and infrastructure to deliver the most effective IT services.
Manages the selection, evaluation, contracting and integration of externally available hardware, software, and processes to deliver business solutions.
Directs and manages, through analysis, the planning, design, development, testing, installation and maintenance of support systems for both internal/external clients.
Selects and builds strong teams through formal training, diverse assignments, coaching, mentoring, and other team development techniques, along with regular individual and group meetings.
Develops tactical and strategic plans to satisfy technical business needs and new business proposals.
Manages and develops project cost estimates, benefits, justification and assessment of potential project risks.
Manages projects, staff, customer expectations and business priorities to achieve customer and business unit satisfaction.
Manages, plans and tracks all budgets and expenses.
Oversees vendor relationships and projects.
Directs and manages business process re-engineering associated with existing, developing and implementation of systems.
Develops and maintains strong, cooperative relationships with other IT services groups. Shares and establishes best practices experiences and opportunities throughout the organization.
Applies Agile development practices in delivery of transformational programs as required.
