Who We Are
My Small Wonders was opened in 2008 in the Coffee Creek community of Edmond, Oklahoma, initially serving ages birth through early elementary and licensed by DHS for 119 children. The center continues to grow as we have joined forces with Child Development Schools, a national childcare provider with the specific goal of duplicating achievements at the Edmond, Oklahoma location. We are so excited to continue to deliver excellence in care at our flagship campus in Edmond, Oklahoma, and soon to other campuses throughout the country.
Overview
This position isresponsible for the smooth day-to-day operations, financial management, curriculum delivery, employee/student retention and achievement, parent/community relations, and strategic planning for the school.

Education/Experience
Must be at 21 years of age or older
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or related field (preferred)
Current state specific Director's Credential or Certificate
At least 3 years experience directing a state licensed child care program with over 100 children
Must meet all state specific Licensing requirements related to continuing education
Successful experience in being responsible for the leadership of a large, highly skilled team
Certificates/Licenses
Child/Infant CPR and First Aid required within 90 days of employment
Must maintain required number of training hours determined by state Licensing agency
Skills/Abilities
Must be able to perform all duties and responsibilities of the job
Excellent customer service skills
Working knowledge and understanding of all state licensing requirements
Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language
Extensive knowledge of state and local requirements, including third party contracts

Ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment for children and parents
Sparking imagination, building self-esteem and helping children discover new things
Recruiting, training, scheduling, evaluating and mentoring quality staff
Providing staff with regular and specific feedback through classroom observations, one-on-one meetings and performance reviews
Meet and exceed customer expectations by understanding, anticipating and meeting customer needs
Exhibit proactive communication; act and think with customers in mind
Friendly, enthusiastic and energetic with customers, coworkers, managers and visitors
Manages the school in compliance with all state regulations, as well as MSW policies and procedures
Effectively resolves problems related to the management of the school
Maintains administrative records in compliance with company policy and state regulations
Plans work schedules and supervises staff
Keeps fully apprised of all activities at the school and ensures families are made aware of details
Responsible for opening and closing the school
Coaches and mentors management team
Conducts tours for prospective families
Available to parents to listen and take appropriate action on their concerns
Maintains effective communication between staff and parents
Regularly solicit feedback from parents in order to make improvements at the school
Ensures that all staff are in compliance with Professional Development requirements
Maintains building, equipment and grounds through regular safety checks to ensure a safe environment
Any other duties assigned by the District Manager
