Responsibilities Serves as a Supervisory Store Associate in a commissary store at a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) facility. The primary purpose of this position is serve as a Supervisory Store Associate in a commissary which utilizes the workforce of the future structure.. Position responsibilities include: Front end operations including patron identification, customer inquiries, check out and cash control. Non-perishable stock control including transporting item and stocking shelves. Meat display and case stocking. Produce inspection, display and rotation. Account maintenance, supply and computer operations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-6 grade level or equivalent to at least GS-6 under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Examples of qualifying specialized experience: Plan, assign and evaluate work of employees. Evaluate work, provide instruction, conduct on the job training for workers within multiple departments in a grocery store. Carry out daily retail grocery store functions necessary to successfully execute store operations. See the OPM Qualification Standards for more information.
