PRODUCT MANAGER, STARLINK ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS

Starlink connects everyone, everywhere.

Starlink's Enterprise Solutions team creates and deploys Starlink products to solve problems for business and government customers. Our team is focused on quickly solving challenges and adapting Starlink to new enterprise offerings. In this role, you will manage products from inception, through development, testing, and rollout to the marketplace. You will continue managing the products and customers to ensure a world-class experience. You will own the customer relationship and have input to the strategic direction of Starlink products.

We are looking for motivated, collaborative, and insightful individuals to work with our design engineering teams to develop new products and evolve existing products. Our development timelines are aggressive and you will be asked to rigorously explore solutions for previously unsolved problems. Ideal candidates for our team have passion for making things work, are highly detail-oriented self-starters, and are hungry to do work that matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define products including hardware, software, network capabilities, and deployment requirements to support enterprise customers

  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and network engineers to create or improve products

  • Support all phases of development from initial proposal development through successful test, demonstration, and operations

  • Support Sales teams with technical pre-sales support during the sales cycle by acting at the technical subject matter expert and assisting with proposal reviews

  • Drive overall commercial success of each product

  • Ensure Starlink addresses our customers' connectivity needs

  • Help define, measure, and manage customer success metrics

  • Manage customer partnerships and ensure that contract deliverables are delivered on time and per the customers' expectation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field (engineering, physics, computer science, or similar discipline) with 2+ years of industry experience

  • 2+ years of project management or business development experience

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years of technical product management experience

  • Ability to support customer requirements and incorporate business development experience into solutions

  • Managing product life cycle development

  • Involvement in new product introduction

  • Candidates with experience in at least one of the following areas are preferred. Each program has new challenges and opportunities

  • Experience within the maritime, aviation, government, disaster response, or energy industries

  • Knowledge of satellite communication technologies and networking

  • Knowledge of networking systems and connectivity

  • Network connectivity, services, and protocols (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, NAT, NTP, etc.)

  • Security models and network protocol analysis

  • Knowledge of communication systems

  • Knowledge of RF communication systems including phased array antennas, antenna patterns and how they apply to FCC/ITU regulations

  • Experience in mobile communication applications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up atmosphere

  • Project management experience including implementing a statement of work for enterprise customers

  • International experience supporting customers working in Europe, Africa, Asia, or South America

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • In the case the role requires an active clearance, this may provide the opportunity for you to work on sensitive SpaceX missions; if so, you will be subject to pre-employment drug testing and random drug and alcohol testing

  • Must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to support critical milestones or operations shifts

  • Must be willing to travel to other SpaceX offices and customer locations as needed
