We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
This Accountant position supports accounting and invoicing for commodity purchase and sale activity for various Dominion Energy subsidiaries. Primary responsibilities will include the following:
Processing accounts payable invoices related to commodity purchases (oil, coal, biomass and natural gas)
Researching and resolving discrepancies between deal information from trading management system and supplier invoices
Processing accounts receivable invoices related to solar power sales
Processing cash receipts related to commodity sale activities
Broker margin accounting for derivatives
Balance sheet and income statement variances analysis
Accounting for renewable environmental credits
Journal entries and account reconciliations
Performs varied complex tasks with minimal supervision
Assist with required statutory filings
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Candidates should have two years minimum of accounting experience and a knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Complete and thorough knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices.
Experience with commodity trading activities is helpful.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities, resources and time.
Proficient personal computer skills and proficient understanding of software applications. SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) experience is helpful.
Leadership and interpersonal skills.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Strong Excel skills
