AV ADMINISTRATOR
SpaceX is looking for an experienced AV Administrator with strong knowledge and experience in world class AV service delivery. Employee collaboration tools are key to keeping our business running as the company continues to grow. This role will support AV hardware and software, build runbooks to train helpdesk teams, and be seen as the owner of AV at SpaceX, driving best practices for use and support of our AV systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support AV/VC solutions company wide both locally and with support in-region teams.
Support events around SpaceX offices from an audio-visual standpoint, occasional out of hours event support.
Assist with new equipment installation and configuration including Office Expansion projects.
Capture and maintain equipment inventory data.
Responds promptly to requests for technical support via email, ticketing, and chat as needed.
Responsible for troubleshooting hardware and applications, providing technical support and problem solving.
Manage software-based monitoring tool and improve alerting for front line support.
Exhibit a high level of professionalism and is passionate about providing outstanding customer service.
Document and maintain standard operating procedures, best practices, and customer service guidelines.
Participates in on-boarding and training team members.
Drives quality and adherence to best practices within the team.
Ability to remain calm in high pressure/stress situations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of professional experience building, deploying and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, software, and IP networks within a mid to large enterprise environment for AV support.
Experience supporting Microsoft technologies.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with construction CAD drawings, Power/Data line drawings, signal flow, AV concepts.
Familiarity with Logitech, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Enterprise, Biamp, Extron, QSC, Shure and similar technologies.
Expertise in customer service, problem solving and teamwork abilities.
Working knowledge of video conferencing solutions and support.
Experience in both MacOS and Windows environments.
Ability to coordinate external vendor support when required.
Experience with live audio and video production experience.
Experience with Microsoft Teams Room hardware.
Familiarity with CTS, Crestron DM, Biamp or similar certification a plus.
Knowledge and ability to terminate various audio and data connections.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be physically fit enough to regularly lift up to 30 lbs. for duties such as delivering computers, unpacking and rack-mounting equipment, etc.
Must be willing to work extended hours and overtime as needed.
Must be willing to travel (<20%).
Must be flexible to work various shift patterns (i.e. early morning to afternoon, or afternoon to later evening).
