Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Elastic Engineer/Analyst Manager (M1) to join the DGS-X program located at Langley AFB. The successful candidate will report directly to ISSM and manage an Elastic monitoring team of their own, while meeting the following requirements:
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats components.
Monitor and troubleshoot Elasticsearch cluster health and performance issues.
Provide the technical support to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the AF DCGS.
Create custom Kibana dashboards and visualizations to provide insights into data trends.
Extensive understanding of Linux command line administration.
Experience configuring syslog, audit.d, and windows audit policies.
Experience with server rebuilds, deployments, and parser customization.
Knowledge of common enterprise security devices and tools.
Experience with scripting languages and configuration management tools (e.g Ansible, Puppet).
Experience using a ticketing system.
Experience with Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
Spearheading the coordination between two geographically diverse teams to ensure uniform security measures.
Assist in the implementation of network, intrusion detection, and prevention systems across multiple locations.
Assist in comprehensive analysis of security breaches to identify root causes and documenting these findings.
Collaborate with network administrators and software engineers to enhance network security.
Assist in formulating, implementing, and maintaining corporate security policies tailored to the OA DCGS networking environment.
Ensure providing 24/7 monitoring of computer networks.
Qualifications:
Required:
Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in IS Technology, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ year's of relevant IT/Cyber experience. Degree may be substituted with additional years of experience.
DOD 8140 (8570) IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent).
Desired:
AF DCGS experience
Four to seven years of Linux systems administration experience.
Knowledge of security best practices and standards, including NIST, ISO, and SOC operations.
Knowledge with Linux/Unix operating systems and network protocols.
Knowledge with SIEM and Log management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Availability to work weekends and holidays as part of our 24/7 operations.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$68,400-$143,700
