Job Summary:

THE ROLE:

Providing guests with information on available event seating and ticket prices, selling and distributing event admission tickets per established guidelines, providing venue and event information as requested.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Greet guests in a friendly and helpful manner

  • Provide information on available seating and ticket prices for current and upcoming venue events

  • Use proprietary computer system to sell concert admission tickets to guests; provide correctly printed paper or mobile tickets

  • Complete all sales accurately, providing credit card receipts, if applicable

  • Examine guests' valid ID and correctly distribute -Will Call- tickets

  • Settle ticketing disputes using specific criteria

  • Process ticket refunds when approved by the Box Office Manager

  • Provide general venue knowledge, such as locations of restrooms, concessions, first aid

  • Provide emergency evacuation assistance to guests and crew members

  • Partner with other Box Office crew members at the end of show to close the Box Office, including but not limited to securing tickets, receipts, documents and equipment related to Box Office functions, as well as general housekeeping in Box Office area

  • Participate in venue sustainability programs that conserve resources/prevent waste

  • Adhere to all safety rules and share any safety concerns with management

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Ticketing, Box Office Manager and/or Box Office Supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older

  • Must present unexpired original document(s) establishing identity and authorization to work in the United States

  • A clear pre-employment criminal background check is required

  • Attention to detail, quality and accuracy

  • Strong team building and communication skills

  • Prior box office and/or ticketing system experience a plus

  • Works flexible and occasionally long hours, including weekends and evenings

  • Reliable transportation required

  • Must attend new employee orientation and training sessions and complete online training
