We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

This position reports to the Power Distribution Safety & Training Center in Chester, VA with projects taking them out into the Dominion Energy Virginia (DEV) field as required. This position supports the DEV Operations Support Training team by managing projects that leverage synergy opportunities across DEV and Project Construction, including improving processes and enhancing the efficiency of the support services (Safety, Environmental, and Training) provided to DEV.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of projects and initiatives across DEV.

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to keep focus areas visible to drive the culture.

  • Lead and manage projects and initiatives across DEV support services, including planning and execution.

  • Work with customers to identify risks involved with a particular project or initiative and mitigating the risks.

  • Make sure project and initiatives are delivered with expected outcomes and benefits to the Business Units.

  • Lead projects related to the support services for existing and new technologies.

  • Work with Business Unit customers to identify process improvements across DEV.

  • Work with DEV Operations Support leadership to identify trends and make proactive recommendations to address impact on the business.

  • Other duties as assigned to increase efficiency and leverage synergies across DEV.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Significant directly related experience in project management is required (5+ years of experience).

  • Field knowledge preferred; ability to visit a job site or station and understand how the project they are managing offers improvement.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at field sites with stakeholders of varying levels.

  • Strong analytical skills to scope, plan, and complete assignments as needed by the business for continuous improvement.

  • Strong Microsoft skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once with multiple or overlapping stakeholders.

  • Strong communication skills, including ability to present items and communicate objectives to all levels within the company including executive members.

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
