Are you a jack-of-all-trades Learning & Development professional? TheSenior Instructional Designerposition atBatteries Plussupports organization-wide training initiatives that impact employees at our 700+ retail stores nationwide. Located at our national training center in Pewaukee, WI, theSenior Instructional Designerwill focus on LMS management, project management and instructional design. You will create and update instructional materials including computer based training, online courses, infographics and outline instructor lead training programs. Additionally, you will maintain our LMS, collaborate with stakeholders to assess existing programs, manage vendor relationships and design classroom training and blended learning programs.
As theSenior Instructional Designer, you will have 5+ years of experience in instructional design and developing training materials as well as a Bachelor's Degree. Responsibilities:
Instructional Design
Interpret content objectives and instructional content to ensure learning using the ADDIE methodology
Use sound ID theory to create and provide on-going maintenance of webinars, job aids, ILT and videos
Initiate new material and/or modify existing materials to develop curriculum for various product, operations and technical training
Design and implement Train-the-Trainer programs for internal and external populations
Measure and evaluate training program materials and documents to help determine fulfillment of learner needs, usefulness of content and ROI
Design classroom training and blended learning as needed
Project Management
Collaborate with stakeholders to support and assess existing projects and programs
Manage training design process including change requests
Manage vendor relationships
LMS Administration & Training Support
Supports ownership of LMS including maintenance, recommending and implementing current and modern functionality changes, such as mobile learning and social learning functions
Provides customer service support to LMS users
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design or direct experience equivalent
5+ years of experience developing training materials or coursework and the creation of CBT courses, blended learning and traditional ILT
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning and learning styles principles and theories
Proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360 and other instructional design technologies such as Camtasia, Vyond and PhotoShop software applications
Knowledge of video software
Proficiency in Google Suites and Microsoft Office products
Basic understanding of HTML
Basic understanding of LMS, including creation and administration of courses, offerings and reports
