Job Description:
Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
Education Qualifications:
In this role you will:
assess performance in the Sterile Processing Unit, communicate to all levels of the operating room, and ensure safety is incorporated into supply chain processes
escalate and report critical issues, compliance gaps and emerging risks to Manager of Surgical Services
be responsible for conducting quality assessments to ensure a quality product and ensures compliance with government regulatory agency standards and ensures all AMMI standards, Join Commission, Health Department, OSHA requirements are met within the department.

If the candidate wants to if wants to continue call coverage for the operating room, they must maintain circulating skills by circulating twice monthly.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month
4 years of RN circulator experience
Demonstrable knowledge of AORN standards
Proficient in Tecsys ordering
Proficient in all aspects of Instrument sterilization
Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or ability to obtain within 3 years.
