Description: This position is within the Lockheed Martin Enterprise Business and Digital Transformation (EBDT) Classified IT Transformation organization. Lockheed Martin is seeking a driven and dedicated team member to support the Lockheed Martin Center for Innovation in Suffolk, VA. Your experience and expertise will contribute to information technology with a growth mindset mentality, and willingness to learn and acquire skills over time. Your support of the customer demonstration and Lab environment will not only be your greatest asset, but ours as well. You will be a key contributor, providing coaching and knowledge transfer to other team members to assist with skill building over time.

The selected candidate will join the Classified IT Transformation team, performing IT System Engineering, Installation, Administration, and Security across multiple platforms including Classified and Unclassified networks, AWS/Azure cloud environments, Red Hat Linux, eSXi, VMware Horizon, Windows Server, and Windows/Linux desktops.

Overall responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Ensuring that all IT systems are managed, controlled, and updated in a manner consistent with both Lockheed Martin and Department of Defense policies, procedures, and requirements.

- Systems engineering and implementation, routine updates, major upgrades, on-going maintenance and support of hyper converged infrastructure (HCI), virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), Storage Area Networks (SAN), data protection appliances, and other peripherals as well as vulnerability scanning/patching, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance and adherence to the Risk Management Framework.

- Execution of server initiatives, server asset inventory management, server support and troubleshooting of all server infrastructure related hardware, software and all related tasks and requirements.

This role utilizes troubleshooting skills to provide timely and effective solutions to problems as well as developing technical solutions to complex problems which require consistent use of ingenuity and creativity.

All work must be performed on-site, including some off-shift hours, weekends, and occasional travel. The position works a 4x10 schedule (Mon-Thurs) but will also support a 24 X 7 weekly on-call rotation schedule.

Basic Qualifications:

- Secret Security Clearance Required

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience with Windows Operating Systems (i.e., Windows Server 2016, Windows 10, etc.); or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.

- Experience with virtualization platforms (i.e., VMware, Horizon, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, Hyper-V, etc.)

- Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (system hardening, log management, configuration management (i.e., Nessus, McAfee, WSUS, Shavlik, Blade Logic, Splunk, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, etc.)

- Understanding of technology areas such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy

and WSUS

- Ability to move, rack, stack and install physical equipment by lifting up to 30 lbs.

- Experience in providing IT customer service in an executive environment

- Experience interfacing with customers, IT management and vendors

- Ability to provide after-hours/on call support

- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain professional behavior in difficult situations

- Experience performing software installations, support, and documentation; end user support / incident response

- Security+ Certification

Desired Skills:

- Understanding and or experience working Information Assurance (IA) hardening and compliance, i.e. STIG & DSS compliance, documentation, etc.

- Understanding of virtualization infrastructure such as VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, etc.

- Understanding of NAS/SAN/PFS storage systems and related networking

- Scripting ability to support system administration (Ansible, Python, BASH, Perl, Batch, VBScript, PowerShell, etc.)

- Experience working with Cloud Environment Azure / AWS

- Experience with Linux Operating Systems (i.e., Red Hat Enterprise Linux, IBM/AIX, etc)

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
