Manpower is seeking a dynamic Production Supervisor for a top client in the Tri-State area! This is your chance to step into a direct hire role with competitive pay and fantastic benefits. 2nd shift schedule: Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate employee records (Kronos/Payroll), handle corrective actions, and ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.
Ensure smooth operations in adherence to Federal, State, Local requirements, and ISO Standards.
Perform routine inspections to guarantee quality standards are consistently met.
Lead and train associates on new procedures and equipment, keeping your team well-informed and prepared for success.
Collaborate with Maintenance Managers and Mechanics to resolve equipment issues, prioritize safety, and maintain smooth production.
Oversee shift clean-up tasks, communicate safety concerns, and address regulatory compliance matters.
Keep Managers, Purchasing, and the Production Scheduler in the loop on performance, concerns, and results.
Ensure seamless shift transitions and maintain clear communication across teams via email to the Production Manager and other shifts.
What We're Looking For:
An Associate degree is required; BS in Engineering or Business is strongly preferred. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally in chemical/paint production.
Proven leadership skills as a change agent, able to inspire and manage a diverse team.
Strong experience driving productivity, quality, and safety improvements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for problem-solving.
Proficiency in MS Office; SAP experience is a plus!
Ability to juggle multiple priorities while managing continuous improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with industrial safety regulations, Lean Manufacturing, BRI, and 5S Housekeeping.
