Reporting to the Sr Director of Brand and Advertising, the Sr Manager, Advertising-Local will oversee a team responsible for the development and execution of local marketing programs to drive profitable business results. This position executes T-Mobile marketing campaigns, plus-up programs and events at the local level. This person will oversee the Local Marketing Managers and work closely with area SMMs and Marketing Directors to ensure strong traffic and local brand health (awareness, consideration, loyalty) in each region.
What you'll do in your role.
Lead development of local advertising campaigns (creative brief and visual assets) for assigned initiatives; acts as main point of contact on assigned projects: day-to-day contact for internal customers (FSC and field-based) and agency partners on program execution. Brief and manage creative partners on execution of advertising programs. For assigned initiatives, lead campaign integration across communications vehicles.
Contribute to development and executive approval of strategic creative briefs in support of local advertising program goals and objectives. Work closely with management and integrated marketing teams on messaging plans for marketing initiatives.
Lead or oversee development of all creative, including video, print, radio, OOH and online work for local initiatives. Ensure the national brand is localized according to region's business needs.- Manage integrated communication plan for local campaigns bringing together input from other communications disciplines including web, digital, social, retail merchandising, promotions, PR, etc.
Delegate/manage tactical and operational assignments to subordinates, administrative staff, or external departments. Manage visual campaign identities to establish consistent look/tone/feel across multiple communications vehicles. Ensure campaigns are produced on strategy, on time and within budget.
Establish/evolve processes and educates other T-Mobile departments (within marketing and outside of marketing) on advertising planning, processes and timing. Establish metrics, tracks results, communicate, and apply learnings.
Lead and develop team of advertising managers; team goal setting, coaching, and communicating company/team goals.
Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day issues or problems affecting quality and delivery of advertising programs.
Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
The experience you'll bring.
Demonstrated experience working with and leveraging consumer research (with internal and external teams).
- Ability to translate Business Brief/Program Brief into dynamic Master Creative Brief.
- 4+ years experience in-depth print and online marketing experience.
- 4+ years experience leading a team of professionals in similar positions.
- Understands the creative product process sufficiently in order to intelligently and articulately communicate with agencies to translate the business needs into creative solutions. Manage the workflow assigned to agencies and use creative judgment to control the quality of work produced by agencies, and provide feedback to agencies when appropriate and make recommendations to internal stakeholders on resolution of agency issues.
Education
- BA/BS Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to travel up to 20% for creative production, agency meetings, industry conferences, and training.
