Contract Terms: Permanent, 40 hours per week (if full time)

THE TEAM

The Ticketmaster North America Accounting group is responsible for all aspects of preparing accounting entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and reporting on the balance sheet in support of the Live Nation financial reporting process. The North America Accounting group is also responsible for coordinating and supporting internal and external audits related to the Ticketmaster North America division of Live Nation.

THE JOB

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to assist with month end journal entry preparation and daily and/or monthly reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts related to various Ticketmaster lines of business. Our ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, highly organized and is proficient in Microsoft Excel and other enterprise level accounting software (i.e., Oracle Financials and/or SAP).

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Reconcile transactions related to credit card and other payment methods daily for various ticketing systems. Follow up and resolve material reconciliating items with appropriate internal and external personnel as needed.

  • Prepare and record month end journal entries as part of the monthly financial close process.

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts on a daily and/or monthly basis as part of the SOX control compliance process.

  • Work with internal personnel to resolve general ledger account reconciling items in a timely manner.

  • Prepare schedules in support of internal and external audits including quarterly and annual SOX and financial audits and/or sales tax audits.

  • Prepare ad hoc schedules as requested by management.

  • Participate in special projects as requested by management.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Strong Excel skills including use of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP function preferred.

  • 0-2 years of professional accounting experience in a comparable role.

  • Experience with Oracle Financials ERP systems is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.

  • Ability to work overtime during financial close periods as needed.

    - Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or providing proof of a negative COVID test at least every 48 hours will be required for this position to work in an office or venue.-
