Preference will be given to candidates in the Columbus, Ohio or Indianapolis, Indiana areas. *JOB PURPOSE-* The Territory Sales Manager is an integral member of the Skechers sales team. This position will work with mid- major and independent accounts and will also be responsible for multiple states in the Mid-West region. This position requires a driven individual to manage all aspects of sales within defined territory for their assigned division(s). *ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-* * To deliver your annual sales quota. * To develop a seasonal/annual business plan (by account) that details growth objectives, category objectives, distribution objectives, and promotional plans. * To determine and sell the most effective merchandise mix and prepare stock to sales plans (by month) where appropriate. * Execute W.I.N. paradigm * Determine desirable territory call pattern * Participate in all meetings, trade shows, conferences, and events as required by management * Submit all reporting, as required by management * Perform all responsibilities in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner * SKECHERS shall compensate the territory manager on a salary basis * Manage selling, open order flow plans, sales trackers, on a weekly basis * Create seasonal assortment Buy Plans *SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES-* * Work closely with technical field representative for marketing and sales initiatives _JOB REQUIREMENTS-_ * Proven track record of successfully meeting/exceeding sales and margin goals * Be motivated to learn our wholesale business, self-starter/motivated, results-orientated with strong negotiation/entrepreneurial characteristics * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication/time management skills * Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving * Ability to prioritize/manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-* * Bachelor of Arts degree in business, communication, marketing or related field * Experience with account base of both Major and Independent and Running Store retailers * Must have strong organizational skills and follow up skills. * Must have strong written and oral communication skills * 5 or more years of experience * Retail Experience preferred * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, proprietary software and retail math * Valid driver license and clear driving record * Lift and carry samples, sample bags, and marketing materials * Travel required (approximately 80%) All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. _QUALIFICATIONS-_ To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
