What You'll Get to Do:

As a CACI-SOAS ARSOF Requirements Document Writer in support of ARSOF Capabilities Management and the USASOC Force Modernization Center, you will support of United States Army Special Operations Command's (USASOC) core responsibility to provide trained and ready forces that are prepared to meet Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) and Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) requirements around the world. Considering the breadth of hybrid and dynamic threat groups associated with each GCC's respective Area of Responsibility, providing tailored Special Operations force packages with the proper mix of skills and equipment in time to prevent or address conflict is a difficult task using conventional force generation and deployment processes. USASOCs transition to a truly data-driven organization to best posture for the current and next operational environments.

More About this Role:

As the ARSOF Requirements Document Writer, you will support USASOC staff integrated planning teams (IPTs) with subject matter expertise on the Special Operations Forces Capability Integration and Development System (SOFCIDS) process. You will integrate IPT recommendations into the development and staffing of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) Change Recommendations (DCRs) that are part of SOFCIDS process for updating and changing ARSOF capabilities. After the DCR documents are submitted to USSOCOM and approved, the requirements writer will also assist with developing and staffing U.S. Army Force Design Updates (FDU).

Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Implement systems and processes to manage product workflow to support the project's operational requirements and the command's force modernization priorities.

  • Ensures the quality of analyses, assessments, and data research.

  • Develops and maintain relationships with the respective Capability Managers to assist the Force Modernization Center staff in meeting their responsibilities, functions, and tasks within the Capabilities Determination, Capabilities Development, and Capabilities Integration sections.

  • As required, submits weekly and monthly reports of the project's current and planned activities and related accomplishments.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Current Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information Security Clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, an associate degree and 7+ years of experience, or nine years of relevant work experience. We will also consider candidates with 10 years of directly relevant experience.

  • Minimum of three years of experience in operations coordination roles of responsibility within an O-5 or above tactical, operational, or strategic level command or while supporting a DoD contract of similar size and scope.

  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of portals and other real or near real-time knowledge management systems.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong attention to detail.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Education: Master's Degree in a relevant field

  • Experience supporting USASOC or Joint SOF organizations.

  • Must be able to work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.

  • Completion of Defense Acquisition University courses on Requirements and/or Capability Development.

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,000 - $163,800
