SAIC's Horizon program is seeking System Administrators with experience and backgrounds in information technology to support the U.S. Space Forces mission of delivering warfighter capability via the Space Systems Command's Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power and Battle Management, Command, Control and Communications weapon system portfolios. Position is available in El Segundo, California .
The Horizon program is supporting Government weapon systems program offices with subject matter experts that have backgrounds in various specialties including operations of facilities and networks. Our team is at the forefront of the advising and assisting the Government with their architecture and full lifecycle systems engineering processes that enable key systems (e.g., satellites and their ground systems, ground-based space systems and their command and control capabilities) to meet warfighter needs. The program enables the customers mission by providing the resources and capabilities necessary to support their team members and process data at various classification levels and across multiple information systems and networks.
Support encompasses a range of capabilities from server and workstation configuration and support, LAN setup and maintenance and Audio Visual systems with a focus on security implementation. With information technology constantly changing, administrators must stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and the potential effectiveness of these advancements in their current system.
Fun stuff you will do on the job:
Provide root cause analysis and be comfortable recommending permanent configuration changes when necessary.
Support onsite user-base with technical assistance in a timely and efficient manner.
Prepare, manage and maintain hardware/software inventories, licenses and applicable Service Level Agreements.
Review and provide inputs to the Configuration Control Board (CCB) in reference to hardware and software changes, security impacts, and the operating environment.
Assist the Senior System Administrator in coordinating with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO)/Information System Security Manager (ISSM) with conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, implementing Security Implementation Guides (STIGs)/ Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)/vulnerability scans, and other cyber security requirements directed by applicable regulations and guidance.
Qualifications
This is you:
Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in IT system administration support and system maintenance (4 years of experience may be used in lieu of degree).
Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).
Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.
Experience with computer systems configuration, hardening, monitoring and maintenance.
Experience withactive Directory tasks and requirements.
Experience withwindows desktop and server operating systems and Microsoft Exchange operations.
Experience withRisk Management Framework, application of DISA STIGs/SCAP, vulnerability scanning tools (i.e. ACAS/NESSUS), and audit reduction tools/SIEM (i.e. SPLUNK).
Experience withInformation Security.
Experience with Video Tele-Conference (VTC) hardware and software systems.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
