A Day in the Life of a Community Services Marketing Coordinator:
As a Liberty Military Housing Community Services Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the strategic marketing plan for the Community Services Department. You will work closely with the Community Services Director to create marketing strategies and with the Event Coordinators for delivery of marketing items. You will be responsible for effectively producing high quality marketing collateral and delivering on Liberty's mission of providing exemplary service in accordance with Liberty Military Housing quality customer satisfaction standards.
Your Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Overseeing the layout, publishing, distribution, and communication with partners of the Liberty Military Housing newsletters.
Developing a clear, strategic, detailed social media plan and schedule. Working with the Event Coordinator to post write-ups and photos. Create content utilizing excellent writing and design skills.
Working with the Community Services Director on designated community events to host a Liberty booth. Organize giveaways, marketing materials, and be the Liberty representative at these events.
Providing Registration Website support to ensure items are being posted consistently, assist with issues, and help develop the new registration website and marketing materials.
Provide marketing and additional support with Community Services initiatives such as the Living Green Program, Congressional Outreach, produce annual yearbook and the HGLMH program.
Maintaining accurate records and submit required items by deadlines. Ensure budgets and financial matters are being managed. Report on performance of social media sites (i.e. stats, recaps, event wrap-ups, evaluations, and event photos).
Coordinate the agenda for the monthly Marketing Meeting and host the meeting with the Community Services Team.
Perform various Administrative and computer tasks, email communications, input of information/data into various software and information systems (i.e. Payscan, Yardi, Word, Excel, Publisher, Adobe Suite including: Indesign and Photoshop, Streampoint Registration Website, and social media sites).
Support the Community Services Director with special projects as assigned. Provide support with marketing related questions and communication when the Community Services Director is not available.
What You Need for Success:
Position requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in the marketing industry with social media experience.
Position requires a degree in marketing, communication, or related field.
Working knowledge or experience with the military community is preferred.
Must have skills in customer service, problem-solving, decision-making, multi-tasking, and communication, with a high level of organization.
Ability to manage time and expectations to meet deadlines and provide good communication.
Ability to be a self-learner and stay up-to-date with the latest social trends. Ability to advise on this subject matter to the Community Services Director and team.
Experience with and understanding of budgets, proposals, contracts, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency and working knowledge of personal computers: keyboard, internet search, email correspondence, math, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Publisher, Adobe Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, social media sites, and other software applications preferred (i.e. Yardi, Payscan, Streampoint). Technology savvy and a quick learner is a plus.
Ability to use a digital camera and take high quality photos.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle (valid license and insurance required).
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays. Must be able to balance personal and professional hours and expectations. Must be able to manage time within a workday.
Ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings, and other work-related activities.
Position requires heavy lifting up to 50 lbs., utilizing step stools to access event items, moving of boxes and event materials, and loading/unloading of vehicles for events.
Position requires ability for walking and standing for long period of times when on location for an event.
Must be able to deal with a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment, including handling multiple tasks on a daily basis.
Position requires use of a personal or company vehicle.
