SAIC is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Finance Manager , who will support the Vice President of Finance within SAIC's Army Business Group and will work closely with the Business Group finance team, leadership team, and all supporting functional organizations. The ideal candidate must have sharp financial analytics, strong interpersonal skills and a passion for continuous improvement. This future member of our team will possess a bias for action, orientation towards creating solutions, and the ability to communicate effectively both horizontally and vertically within the enterprise.
This position is 100% remote nationwide.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading the day-to-day FP&A activities for a dynamic $1.5B organization to include implementation and achievement of long-range financial goals and objectives
Prepare and distribute financial information, briefings, and analysis within required deadlines and ensure that the information provided is concise, relevant, and understandable to assist executive, account, and program level leadership in making intelligent business decisions.
Drive revenue and profit improvement initiatives in line with long-term targets and within financial risk limits for the Business Group
Continuous mentorship and training for program financial staff in the areas of forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, and SAIC financial system utilization
Leadership responsibility for analyst level employees with an emphasis on career development
Responsible for quarterly forecasting, period close reporting and detailed variance analysis to aid in the management of the Business Group and 3 supporting Accounts
ROI development and support to Business Development team on large capture and proposal efforts to ensure new business deals are financially sound and accretive to the portfolio
Facilitate effective communications and relationships with line and functional departments, interpret policy/guidance and effectively disseminate to stakeholders
Regular interaction with Corporate FP&A staff, functional peer groups (Contracts, Procurement, HR, Compliance, etc) and senior management requiring the ability to gain cooperation of others
Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Finance/Accounting, and minimum 18 years of relevant experience
Strong financial acumen
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advanced) and Microsoft Office Suite
Polished communicator with experience training and developing others
Experience using Oracle EPM (SmartView) and PowerBI
Knowledge of federal government contracting in a Professional Services environment
Desired Education and Qualifications:
Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA)
Experience using Deltek Costpoint and ThinkCell
