As a Security Operations Center Specialist you will be responsible for taking calls, monitoring Life Safety Systems and managing critical events and emergency situations throughout our store, corporate, distribution and manufacturing facilities. You will be part of a team of professionals who will provide clear, calm and decisive direction while maintaining our high standards and making critical decisions on the spot in order to manage events with the greatest care and respect. What will I do?
Coordinate the response for a variety of people safety situations and events that impact our business
Detect and communicate to key business areas regarding threats to the company and its employees, including extreme weather conditions, political instability, crime, terror, infrastructure failures, etc.
Analyze critical event data to determine the cause and trends; recommend corrective action
Think through situations, ask pertinent questions, solicit factual information, eliminate misinformation and ambiguity and solve problems on the fly
Take the lead in time-sensitive and complex situations that require decisive action by providing clear, calm and concise direction
Anticipate collateral issues in an event, taking the appropriate steps to mitigate those issues or notify others that can help
Provide as-needed support for various security operations, crisis response and business continuity functions
Prioritize incoming workload while maintaining a focus on people safety and security
Build relationships with key vendors, store and facility maintenance teams to provide incredible customer service
Required Qualifications:
2 or more years of related work experience
Ability to problem solve, make accurate/timely decisions, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
System aptitude; ability to quickly learn and adapt to new computer-based applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience handling complex, time-sensitive situations
Bachelor's degree in related field
