Description: This position is for an AP Banking Analyst providing direct support to our internal and external customers within the Lockheed Martin (LM) supply chain. Analysts are expected to research issues and resolve errors across a range of technical and financial topics. Analysts must be able to work effectively in a close team environment, placing the mission and the team objectives first. Analysts must be able to support tight deadlines on a continuous basis driving positive results in key AP metrics while adhering to policies and procedures. The analyst will be expected to master various AP processes while providing excellent customer service and maintaining frequent contact with business partners. Additional responsibilities will be assigned, as necessary.

Core work is cyclical and follows a schedule, but at times this role contains a dynamic component which requires the ability to quickly adapt to new processes and deliver high quality work under pressure. Occasional overtime support may be required on an as needed basis especially during peak times including year-end and month-end closing. Analysts must be comfortable adapting to new technology in a constantly changing and complex financial world.

Accounts Payable is located within our larger Global Financial Services (GFS) organization which provides core finance and services to all areas of Lockheed Martin in the United States and around the world. In GFS, all analysts are expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with our internal customers by delivering critical services at a very high degree of accuracy on a daily basis. GFS places a high emphasis on lean operations, and analysts are expected to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities may also include, but are not limited to the following:

- Support the processing of payments to our internal/external suppliers. This includes coordinating and processing expedited payment requests, processing manual off cycle payment runs and providing backup support to the Wire Coordinator for inputting manual wire payments.

- Support daily/weekly/monthly reporting requirements for our BA and CHQ partners which includes daily funding and special handling

- Support resolution of payment issues to resolve errors and ensure timely payment to our suppliers.

- Monitoring multiple team resource mailboxes and responding to inquiries by our internal and external customers on a broad range of payment/banking topics is a large component of this position.

- Support accounting duties that include monthly account reconciliations.

- Other duties include the support of ad hoc requests and special projects as assigned.

Finance, Economics or related degree, or equivalent experience / combined education

- Effective analytical skills demonstrated through related experience

- Ability to manage competing priorities on a continuous basis

- Effective Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis in Excel

- Proven effective customer service research and response

- Proven accountability and professionalism

- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team

- Quick and proactive learner with aptitude for various processes

- Flexibility to adjust schedules to meet customer needs as needed

Desired Skills:

- SAP experience

- Experience with automation software

- Advanced skill level in Excel

- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement effective process improvements quickly and efficiently

- Demonstrated ability to automate manual processes with Power Query

- Experience in private or government finance and accounting

- Demonstrated ability to work independently with others and in decision making

- Experience interacting with our government customer or Lockheed Martin products

- Knowledge / experience with FAR and DFAR

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
