As an associate strategy manager on the new store formats team, you will be leading innovation and driving strategy on new concepts for Starbucks. You will be leading strategic projects, influencing cross-functional teams, conducting analysis to develop and communicate learning plans and recommendations to senior leadership. You will be a part of a high-performing team and be at the center of the new store development process from concept ideation to prototyping to physical store build and store launches. This job will require creativity, data supported decision making, effective communication, and continuous pursuit of progress and learning. We are seeking a self-driven, organized, strategically minded individual to lead some of the most exciting store innovation work in the enterprise.

As an associate strategy manager , you will...

  • Lead projects and define the problem-solving approach to achieve project objectives.

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses with minimal guidance, and share learnings and insights effectively to project team.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop robust work plans. Manage workload and progress to ensure cross-functional team delivers high-quality work on time.

  • Contribute to cross-functional team discussions and provide thought partnership and analytics to project teams and enterprise business units and functions.

  • Communicate with cross-functional team ensuring strong team dynamics and performance.

  • Presents assigned portion of work stream to broader audience including senior management members.

We'd love to hear from people with:

  • 5 years of experience in strategic planning and management consulting

  • 5 years of project management experience

  • 5 years of experience with data analysis and modeling

  • 2 years of experience leading teams

  • 1 year of experience developing and delivering presentation to executive level audience

  • 1 year of business development experience

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and leadership skills

  • Clear and effective communication style

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • Experienced in Smartsheet, Tableau, Oracle

  • Able to simplify and structure complex or ambiguous problems

  • Detailed financial and statistical understanding

  • Able to successfully function during time of uncertainty and changing priorities

  • Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams

  • Makes timely and quality decisions based on combination of analysis, experience, and judgement and adhering to Starbucks Missions & Values

  • Preferred candidate located in Seattle area
