Our client, a leading logistics company, is seeking a Material Handling Operator 2 to join their team. As a Material Handling Operator 2, you will be part of the warehouse team supporting shipping and receiving activities. The ideal candidate will have critical thinking, problem-solving, and computer skills, as well as experience in forklift operation and warehouse management.
Job Title: Material Handling Operator 2
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Pay Range: $17.50 - $24.32 per hour
What's the Job?
Coordinate warehouse activities, including tools and equipment used for classroom training and facilitate shipping and receiving for the rest of the facility.
Optimize delivery reliability and delivery quality through proactive coordination between customers (internal and external) and carriers.
Facilitate and/or coordinate outgoing shipments and accept incoming shipments, compare with the shipping documents and deliver or notify the recipient.
Check incoming goods for visible damage, document them, and provide the information if required.
Complete packaging of deliveries having regard to shipping instructions, common methods of dispatch, types of packaging, and other instructions (e.g. Dangerous Goods) in the given framework.
What's Needed?
5-10 years of experience in warehouse management and forklift operation.
High School or equivalent education.
Industrial forklift experience and 0 years of experience.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.
Ability to use walk-behind forklift to move and organize equipment.
