Vaughn & Melton, a JMT Company, is seeking a Section Head for their Raleigh Office to act as the Deputy Chief Marketing Officer for the Southeast Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for business development, financial success, and managing staff for the Marketing department at the local level.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Coordinate strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders
Establish and grow market presence in primarily the Eastern Region area of NC through marketing and business development
Manage financial budget for department for the subject area and allocate resources accordingly
Lead and contribute to the production of proposals
Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff
Establish resources staffing needs for the section
Interview and hire staff for the section
Perform performance reviews for staff based on input from project managers on assigned teams

Required Skills
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program
Professional Engineer License or equivalent
10+ years' experience in specialized discipline
Project management and business development experience
Experience working with local clients at the county and state level preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
