Internship Overview:

  • Time Commitment: 25 hours per week

  • Internship Duration: 5/20/24-8/9/24

  • Hybrid- Must live in the Myrtle Beach, FL area

  • Salary is $23 per hour

Internship Outcomes:

Individuals participating in the internship program are provided with an opportunity to:

  • Gain experience in the professional world while learning about board management.

  • Complete an internship that enriches your academic and professional resume as well as enriching your personal life by making a difference in the lives of others.

Responsibilities

Tasks could include things like the following:

  • Work on logistics with various events held throughout the year.

  • Working with and recruiting volunteers for event activities.

  • Assistance with pre-event planning, day of execution, and event wrap-up projects related to any of the events listed above.

  • Helping with follow-up calls and getting in touch with prospects.

  • Assisting administrative staff with tasks such as printing, collating, thank you cards, etc.

  • Assist with auction item logistics.

Qualifications

  • Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

  • Ability to work professionally with colleagues and professional volunteers.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment handling multiple priorities involving multiple entities.

  • Meeting management and event management including set up, outlook invitations, copies, catering, logistics, and meeting minutes.

  • Knowledge of business letter writing format, style, and protocol.

  • Intermediate use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint

  • Basic knowledge of Canva is a plus.

  • Reliable Wi-Fi Connection.

  • Minimum availability of 20 hrs./wk., Monday-Friday.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.
