Unarmed Security Officer - Memorial Regional Medical Center
Schedule is on a per-needed basis (PRN). Must be willing to work all shifts and one weekend per month .
*VALID VA DRIVERS LICENSE IS REQUIRED!*
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing security, valet and way finding services to visitors, patients, and employees. Monitors environment to detect potential hazards and reports findings while providing assistance and services according to established procedures.
A limited number of Bon Secours positions are subject to a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) check. Given the responsibilities of this role in the organization, this position is subject to a DMV check at time of application submission in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Essential Job Functions:
Ability to investigate and documents incidents
Ability to respond to hospital codes
Ability to follow detailed instructions under stressful circumstances/environment
Ability to utilize security equipment (i.e. 2-way radios, camera monitoring systems, and pagers)
Provide escorts when needed
Patrol all areas of campus and parking lots
Respond to hazmat calls
Support valet when needed
Maintain log-book
Attend/provide job related training when necessary
Provide info/assistance to hospital visitors
Requirements:
H.S Diploma or GED required
Valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver's license
At least 1 year of Military, Law Enforcement, or Security experience is strongly preferred
