JMT is seeking a Full Time Administrative Assistant for our corporate headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an established Human Resources Department. The successful candidate will assist the HR department with a wide range of administrative tasks and projects related but not limited to, Learning & Development (L&D), HR Operations, Recruiting, Benefits, and Diversity & Inclusion Coordination (D&I). As a condition of employment, hire will be required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Proof of vaccination will need to be submitted as part of the interview/hiring process.

Pay Range: $18-21/hour, commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assist users with system password resets

  • Review, evaluate and manage catalog of online training courses in Learning Management System

  • Assign, create, and follow up on 45/90 Day Appraisals for new hires

  • Create and manage internal Intranet postings

  • Package new hire kits

  • Basic office work: Mail, printing, hole punching, scanning

  • Manage employment data requests including unemployment forms

  • Post open positions to various job boards, websites, and social media accounts

  • Schedule candidate interviews and conduct reference/background checks

  • Create and audit reports

  • Event Coordination - schedule, room setup, order meals

  • Create, maintain, and distribute meeting minutes

Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Reliable, detail-oriented and able to complete multiple work assignments

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to analyze and reconcile reports in Excel using V-lookups

  • Excellent customer service skills

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience working in an office setting or in a customer service environment a plus

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
