Description
SAIC is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for our customer site in North Charleston, SC .
The Tool Room/Warehouse Specialist is responsible for assisting with the maintenance and storage of the US Government tools, warehouse equipment, and materials.
As directed, the Warehouse Specialist / Tool room attendant performs a variety of warehousing and production-oriented duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
Work involves most of the following:
Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents
Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
Routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods
Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
This worker may operate hand or power forklifts in performing warehousing duties.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
HS Diploma
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Strong analytical, computer, and written skills.
Possess excellent drawing and parts lists reading skills.
Ability to read and interpret Customer Materials and Process specifications to establish two and three tier materials.
Requires excellent time management and prioritizing skills to meet the challenges of unexpected program updates and requirements.
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
Must be able to work according to seasonal and order demand schedule. Assists in training assigned individuals in all phases of Tactical vehicle operations.
Responsible for ensuring equipment and supplies are used, maintained, stored, and replaced properly; ensure safe operation at all times.
Maintains a safe and orderly work environment.
Responsible for performance of safety drills and keeping the work site within OSHA standards
