The mission of the Hardware Engineering (HWE) Operations team is to systematically enable and improve HWE's business and operational outcomes by delivering capabilities that enable the business to run well. This includes design, delivery, and management of internally developed software applications, 3rd party applications, and the underlying infrastructure systems that are critical for designing Apple products and running the business. We are looking for a seasoned manager to join our team, leading our Engineering Program Managers who are responsible for driving this part of our work. Description
You will be leading a team of engineering project/program managers responsible for delivering software application and infrastructure-related programs and initiatives that have a direct impact on our engineering teams and beyond. In this hands-on role, you will establish and help your team develop critical cross-functional relationships that enable us to deeply understand and prioritize user needs and integrate that with broader workflow improvement strategies. The output of this is a product roadmap that advances HWE's ability to operate efficiently and effectively, driving innovation into our workflows. You'll enable your team to consistently and reliably deliver those roadmaps on time and with very high quality through capacity building, implementation of best practices, and process improvements. You'll also invest significantly in the development of your team through hiring, coaching, and inspiring them to do their best work. As a leader, you will also play an important role in informing and helping to evolve the strategic direction of this team.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required (Comp Sci, Engineering, or other technical field a plus)
10+ years demonstrated experience successfully driving technical projects from roadmap definition through delivery, including at least 5 years directly managing employees in program, project, or product management work
Demonstrated experience developing effective teams comprised of both early career and experienced employees
Highly proficient in project management processes and tools
Very strong relationship building and communications skills (written and verbal)

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $173,100 and $301,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
