Responsibilities Serves as the IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) HQ location. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for Automated Information Systems (AIS); executes the DeCA Cybersecurity Program. Position responsibilities include: Responsible for ensuring that software, hardware and physical security controls are integrated into the AIS Security Program. Maintains a thorough knowledge of Information System security development as it relates to software and data communications in order to provide professional guidance. Serves on various planning teams, committees and panels established to provide recommendations for computer security standards. Assists in the cost effectiveness of AIS security features which are currently implemented and those which are planned for future development and implementation. To qualify for this position your resume and supporting documents must show that you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level or equivalent to at least GS-09 under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Or a Ph.D. or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. This experience may have been gained in the private or military sector. Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: 1. Education Education used to qualify for this position must be from an accredited school or educational institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and a copy of your transcript is required as part of your application package.
