GENERAL FUNCTION

The Project Manager works closely with Leadership to develop strategic programs to support Aftersales and Luxottica transformation and growth. Directly responsible for facilitating applicable Aftersales leadership and PMO meetings as well as participating in the launch and evaluation process for programs in key initiatives. Partners closely with cross functional roles and corporate leadership to provide consultation, ensure progression and excellence regarding initiatives in the PMO. The Project Manager also has reasonable oversight of specific initiatives to ensure the balance between project ownership and PMO administration.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with business leaders, regional and corporate, to establish strategic plans and goals for each project and assuring all the initiatives are aligned with strategic development of business unit.

  • Participates in and supports regular executive updates and annual planning.

  • Establishes objectives, assign tasks, establish and manage budget and resources and align on timelines for achieving intermediate and overall goals.

  • Develops means for the portfolio to be a continuous process, including identification of new projects, prioritization, and execution. Maintains adhered to structure for program progression (Key Gates).

  • Provides the infrastructure for effective, efficient project management for priority projects.

  • Spreads project management best practices through Aftersales.

  • Conducts regular internal reviews of priority Aftersales Operations programs and projects driving progression.

  • Ensures annual and 3 year plans clearly communicate priority projects to properly focus Aftersales on success.

  • Builds relationships across the Aftersales leadership team to enable sharing of insights about projects and workstreams so that the project portfolio can be better managed.

  • Captures and communicates learnings to regional and corporate Aftersales leaders.

  • Leads reasonable solutions initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree, focus on supply chain, industrial and system engineering

  • 8+ years of experience running successful projects in a cross-functional global environment

  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and vision in determining and driving strategy decisions

  • Successful history of preparing and presenting executive level presentations

  • Ability to lead upward, to influence decision-making and to grasp new concepts quickly

  • As a professional working with cross-functional teams, the individual needs strong negotiation, conflict management and resolution skills.

  • Requires strong leadership skills to coordinate and motivate the project teams.

  • Influential presentation skills

  • High-level of organization, communication and facilitation skills; demonstrated credibility with executive management

  • Is comfortable working across all levels of the company, on high profile project with senior stakeholders

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, flexible and dynamic environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • PMP Certification

  • MBA/Master's Degree

  • Lean / Six Sigma Belt
