Job Description

Labcorp is hiring a Finance Director. This person will direct and lead strategic activities including preparing and outlining complex models, evaluating M&A opportunities, making sound financial and investment decisions, leading integration of new businesses and other related activities. This role is critical to driving our financial performance and supporting current and future business growth. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in building teams, scaling financial operations, fostering a data-driven culture, building trust with business partners and ensuring alignment of our capital deployment with our corporate strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead M&A and investment decisions, collaborate with leadership business partners to execute financial strategy including capital allocations.

  • Collaborate with sales, product, technology, clinical and other functional areas to execute transactions.

  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support decision-making and communicate to senior leaders and frontline business partners.

  • Analyze trends and identify financial risks associated with investment or spending decisions.

  • Manage, mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture, aligned with the future needs of the division.

  • Build a culture of belonging that represents diverse perspectives that attracts and retains top talent.

  • Communicate effectively and lead across a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex data and create actional insights.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7-10 years of experience.

  • Experience within a healthcare environment preferred; experience with value-based care a plus.

  • Experience in developing meaningful financial analyses to include analytics, business insights, and recommendations.

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to identify variations and trends, develop practical recommendations, and drive implementation with business leaders.

  • Highly responsive with sense of urgency to provide timely and accurate deliverables under tight time commitments.

  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support decision-making and communicate to senior leaders and frontline business partners.

  • Analyze trends and identify financial risks associated with investment or spending decisions.

  • Manage, mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture aligned with the future needs of the division.

  • Collaborate with sales, product, technology, clinical and other functional areas to execute transactions.

  • Solid FP&A and accounting working knowledge to include relationship between P&L and Balance Sheet activities.

  • Communicate effectively and lead across a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Flexible and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated.

  • Build a culture of belonging that represents diverse perspectives that helps attract and retain top talent.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex data and create actional insights.

  • Ability to team effectively with Leadership and personnel at all levels.

  • Proficient in MS Office.

  • PeopleSoft and/or Oracle Cloud ERP, or similar, working experience preferred.

  • Advanced Excel skills preferred.

  • Experience within a healthcare environment preferred; experience with value-based care a plus.

  • Ability to relate professionally with people, motivate others, strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work independently or lead a team, high level of integrity and dependability, train employees, supervisory skills.

  • Demonstrated technology skills, including spreadsheets, analytical packages and cloud-based tools.

  • Speech clarity, utilization of fingers and hands, standing-remaining on one's feet in an upright position, sitting-remaining in the normal seated position, handling-seizing, holding, grasping.

  • Pacific time zone preferred.

EDUCATION

  • MBA or at minimum a related advanced degree.

Pay Range: $140-170k annually

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work .
