Job Summary:
Accounting Internship provides a unique opportunity to gain real world experience with a company that produces festival and live events.
This is a paid, in-person internship reporting to the Sr Accounting Manager. Applicants should be in the Austin area during employment to be considered.
Responsibilities:
Enters data
Maintains accounting files
Makes bank deposits and runs other accounting errands
Prepares and records journal entries.
Sorts mail
Performs accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Audits reports and billing statements
Researches vendor inquiries
Other duties, projects and events as assigned
Learning Objectives:
Learn about daily accounting tasks and activities; integrate theory and practice
Assess interests and abilities in accounting
Develop work habits and attitudes necessary for job success
Develop communication and interpersonal skills
Develop problem solving skills
Qualifications:
Able to work 20 hours per week
Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
Creative thinker and problem solver
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
