Job Description:
The Phlebotomist will obtain specimens and perform designated tests on patients of newborn to elderly as required including but not limited to Venous, Arterial, Capillary and point of care specimen. Will exhibit problem solving skills and participate in specimen processing, specimen transport and customer service as required. Promotes Essentia Health vision statement. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. This position will work in multiple settings and will work all shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as required. Work Experience: 1 year of experience is preferred.
Education Qualifications:
Completion of a phlebotomy training course is preferred.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license preferred
American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification in phlebotomy preferred
