Administers and coordinates security programs and other related security activities for a large office or group to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies and procedures
May collaborate with other departments (Human Resources, IT, Program Management) to assist in the development and implementation of appropriate security programs, policies, or processes
Provides guidance and instructions to all employees to ensure any event, circumstance, or act that could be considered a breach of security is reported immediately
Participates in the development and implementation of security procedures in coordination with government agencies and company management
Develops and conducts security-related training programs
Maintains the organizations physical safety and security systems, including surveillance systems, automated security systems, employee ID systems, or fire alarm/sprinkler systems
Conducts security briefings
Investigates security violations and recommends corrective actions
Maintains liaison with outside agencies
Assists employees in acquiring personal security clearance when required
May enter security information into automated system and develop related reports as needed
Participates in audits or inspections
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
May serve as a team or task lead
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years of experience
