Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.

Education Qualifications:

NP: Master's degree in nursing

PA: Bachelor's degree in a health/science-related field

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

We are seeking a primary care provider to join our team in Valley City, ND. Practice next to an experienced Family Medicine physician and 2 Nurse Practitioners to complete this hardworking patient and family-centered care model that is dedicated to customer service and meeting the needs of a growing community. This position offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a challenging but rewarding role and the ability to care for a wide variety of patients.

PRACTICE SPECIFICS:

  • 1.0 FTE, full-time position

  • Hours are Mon-Fri between 8am-12 pm, 1pm - 5pm; may include some walk-in coverage

  • Ability to provide healthcare for all ages

  • 18-22 patients per day (patient base already established)

  • No outreach

  • New graduates will be considered

  • EPIC electronic medical record

  • On-site services include: Physical Therapy, Diabetes Educator, Weight Loss (Non-Surgical), Path/Lab and Radiology/Imaging Services

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, the NP/PA works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. NP/PAs provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.EDUCATION/TRAINING:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.

  • Current certification in CPR

  • National certification, in applicable area.

  • Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
