Title: BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST (Epitome) - NTE 1 yr Location: United States-Virginia-Virginia Beach Job Number: 220000YF Job Summary: Serves as the systems analyst for the Payment Management System. The Analyst is responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of business solutions for NGIS. The position will also help develop, identify, and provide recommendations for resolutions for improvements that support the department and company's strategic initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities: Incumbents of this position must be U.S. Citizens. - Develop analysis concerning cash flow and construction projects requirements. Reviews monthly operating data and reservation statistics to identify and report problem areas to the Regional Lodging Directors. - Assigned tasks will require a mixture of technical, analytical, and project management skills. - MUST have prior experience working with the Epitome Payment Management System and full understanding for all reporting functionality to perform required modifications and reporting. - Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of process design, driving efficiencies, identifying gaps and implementing improvements. - The Analyst will work in a cross-functional team environment and have the ability to collaborate effectively to implement and maintain business solutions. - Provides functionality updates to key personnel - Serves as liaison between the helpdesk, systems administrators, database administrators and functional users. - Troubleshoots technical applications problems and coordinates resolution of problems with other support groups as well as application administrators. - Obtains regular processing reports to check for errors, assess/analyze errors and distinguishes between databases, application and customized application problems. - Providing operational support including analyzing efficiencies, helping develop operational standards, driving continuous improvement efforts within the technology services team - Supports, develops and maintains effective communication and excellent relationship with internal customers ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met. - Manages the configuration of all aspects of the Payment Management System including accounting, rates, budgets, room types, and maintains relationships to include the IT inspection teams, Navy Suites and/or Lodge operations, contracting/procurement, and legal requirements. - Monitor the payment flows, perform daily account reconciliations, and follow up on any discrepancies. - Respond to Service Desk Requests and incidents within the parameters set forth by NEXCOM SLA's. - Performs other related duties as assigned. This position is designated IT-2 (Non-critical Sensitive) in accordance with SECNAV M-5510.30 and will require a favorable Access National Agency Check and Inquiries (ANACI). Qualifications: GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in administrative, technical or investigative work which demonstrated the ability for problem solving, identifying factors, gathering pertinent information and recognizing solutions; accomplishing work that requires planning a logical sequence of steps; and the ability to communicate, both orally and in writing. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: 1 year of related academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor's degree for 3 years of general experience. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in technical, managerial or analytical work which demonstrated a knowledge of computer requirements and techniques; a background in analysis of organizational and functional relationships, workflow and procedures; and experience in developing modifications to existing Epitome Property Management System for the purposes of planning, coordination and development of project controls.
