Automotive Buffer Job Description:
This position ensures that vehicles have a smooth and even appearance of the coating by performing finishing work on vehicles subsequent to coating application using a rotary mechanized buffing instrument, or by hand as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Use provided powered buffing tool to buff our vehicles after application of coating. Make sure coating appears smoot h and even.
May buff by hand if necessary.
Make sure that newly applied coating blends with existing coating, at a seam or
within a panel, by feathering surfaces together.
Buff out over-spray from at the application process.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and safe driving record are required, as well as the ability to operate a manual transmission
Buffing/Detailing experience is required
Body shop experience preferred
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
Ability to lift 1-15 pounds (light hand tools, etc.)
Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.
Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception
and ability to adjust focus
