Description
SAIC is seeking a Senior Environmental Analyst to join our team in Huntsville Alabama at the Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation Missile Center (AVMC) on Redstone Arsenal supporting INDOPACOM U.S. Joint Training. This is a unique position where the candidate will travel as needed to Hawaii and other locations within the INDOPACOM area of responsibility on per-diem basis.
The work in Huntsville is primarily onsite as you will work on Department of Defense classified and unclassified networks, but occasional remote work may occur. Alternate work schedule is available for this position.
Responsibilities Include:
. Performs environmental analysis, typically in assessing, analyzing, researching and ensuring environmental policy compliance with pertinent Federal, state and local environmental regulations, which may include NEPA, CERCLA, CAA, and RCRA
. Performs research and assessment of data; develop or prepare reports, surveys, descriptive charts, figures or matrices for compliance and specific application of these items
. Conduct site surveys and field assessments, including coordination with local and supporting organizations
. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations
. May involve preparation of information in support of environmental policy development or administration, including litigation support
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelors with six (6) years experience; four (4) years experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Skills:
Experience preparing and reviewing Environmental Impact Statements and other reports compliant with NEPA standards.
Must have knowledge of Federal, state and local environmental regulations.
Experience collaborating and coordinating project tasks in a team-oriented environment.
Complete understanding and wide application of industry standard principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
Required Clearance:
Must have an interim secret clearance prior to start of employment with ability to obtain and maintain Secret; US Citizenship required.
